Nhulunbuy BMX Club will operate "Open Gate" nights periodically during the season. These are designed to allow riders additional time on the track to practice at their own pace.

Specific rules are in place for Gate Nights which must be strictly adhered to. These are:

• Times will be nominated by the committee
• Gate starter controls the track - only enter when given permission
• Riders must be a member of Nhulunbuy BMX Club and AusCycling
• Riders must be over 14 years old or have a parent or guardian present at the track
• Riders must not stop on the track
• Groups may be separated depending on skill levels
• Open gates require 2 officials and 1 first aider on hand, 1 official can be the first aider but are not permitted to operate the gate - these are nominated by the club. If unavailable sessions may need to be cancelled
